uvex high-fit u-cut – top-class, individual hearing protection
Noise-induced hearing loss has been high on the list of recognised occupational diseases for many years. Noise-induced hearing loss usually occurs slowly and without pain. The risk of hearing damage and the need to protect hearing is often only recognised when it is too late. Only those affected by hearing loss understand the importance of good hearing – for uvex, protecting and maintaining hearing is of the utmost importance.
Wearer acceptance is crucial for successful hearing protection. People will often refuse to wear burdensome, badly fitting protection products. Thanks to its innovative design, uvex u-cut HC otoplastic hearing protection provides a noticeable boost to wearer comfort and ensures an even better perception of sound without neglecting sound insulation. The otoplastic is even more flexible thanks to the targeted opening in the ear canal area, and has also become even more lightweight. The residual volume in the ear canal has been significantly increased. This all results in unrivalled wearer comfort with the same high insulating performance. uvex high-fit u-cut hearing protection is available in two versions, always with custom otoplastic design: either half-concha or full concha. Both versions use the same soft silicon material, which has been dermatologically tested. Removable otoplastics for the auditory canal offer maximum flexibility and can also compensate for strong jaw movement.
The unique design makes this otoplastic softer, lighter and more flexible in the auditory canal and on the ear conch, thereby offering maximum wearer comfort. Both variants are provided with an anti-bacterial nano-coating. A capillary piercing prevents pressure from building up and eliminates the feeling of insulation. uvex high-fit otoplastics are equipped with a filter that can be selected according to the noise level at the place of work. All products and their insulating values are tested and certified according to EN 352-2. uvex high-fit u-cut otoplastics are ideal for use in any high-temperature area and by persons with pressure-sensitive ears.
uvex i-gonomics – Innovation through relief
uvex high-fit u-cut otoplastic is part of the innovative uvex i-gonomics product system, which combines relevant safety features with outstanding ergonomic characteristics and makes them scientifically measurable. uvex i-gonomics includes products that have been developed largely based on ergonomic findings. To make it possible to monitor and compare products with regard to wearer comfort, uvex has introduced the so-called “Relief Index”. The Relief Index consists of three coefficients, which together, as a mean value, define the “relief factor” of a product. This enables uvex to produce maximum comparability – even across different product types and manufacturers. Relief is measured in three different categories: “force”, “weight” and “clima”. In doing so, uvex of course takes the disparate properties of the different product types into account – and so the test methods used within the measuring categories vary accordingly.
